We sell Montana Fishing/Hunting Licenses here in the shop, or you can purchase them online here.
As with any state, the licensing in Montana is a little confusing. To break it down as simply as possible, everyone needs to buy a Conservation License ($8 Resident, $10 Non-Resident) before buying any fishing or hunting licenses in Montana. This money goes to the upkeep and maintenance of resources. The Conservation License lasts the entire season (March 1st - end of February the following year). Now here are the fishing license options for both residents and non-residents.
Resident
$5 - 2-Day (consecutive) Fishing License
$21 - Season Fishing License
$10.50 - Youth (12-17), Senior (62+), Disabled
Non-Resident

$56 - 10-Day (consecutive) Fishing License
$86 - Season Fishing License
These prices are ages 12-61. Prices do vary for other ages.
