Half Day Fishing Trips
Learn to fly fish on half-day fishing trips on the world-renowned Montana fly-fishing rivers near Bozeman.
Available April – October, these 4-hour Bozeman fly fishing trips take place while either wading or floating the lower Madison River when conditions are appropriate.
Intended for first-time fly fishers, our guides provide the equipment and non-alcoholic beverages. The goal of these excursions is to provide a fun and informative introduction to fly fishing to new anglers.
We focus on providing personalized and professional guided Montana fly fishing experiences with an emphasis on safety. Our guide to angler ratio is always 1:1 or 1:2 to ensure a safe and productive outing. Groups of up to 10 anglers are welcome.

Rates: $575 for 1 or 2 anglers per guide

Where Do We Fish?
- Float the lower Madison when conditions permit
- Wade the Gallatin River during inclement weather
- The guide chooses the destination based on water and weather conditions
- 1/2 day trips are within 30 minutes of Bozeman
Inlcusions and Exclusions
- Use of rods, reels, flies, waders, boots, and terminal tackle is included
- Includes non-alcoholic drinks for 1 or 2 anglers
- Transportation to and from the river is provided by our Bozeman fly fishing guides
- Gratuities and fishing licenses are not included
Guided Trip Deposit Policy
Secure a reservation with a deposit when you book your Montana fly fishing trip. Book 30 days in advance and hold your reservation with a 50% deposit. Payment in full is required to secure reservations made within 30 days. See full details here.
