Deposit and Cancellation Policies

Deposit & Cancellation Policies

Advanced Reservation Deposits

  • Reservations can be secured with a deposit equal to 50% of the trip total paid at the time of booking when secured 30 days in advance. The final balance is auto-collected 48 hours before the first day of the scheduled trip.

We recommend securing your reservation as soon as you have your dates and travel arrangements. Our small team of guides has limited open availability during the season.

Standard Reservations Payments

  • Reservations made within 30 days of a scheduled trip can be secured with payment in full at the time of booking.

Large Group Booking Reservations

  • Reservations can be secured with a deposit equal to 50% of the trip total paid at the time of booking, when secured more than 60 days in advance for groups of 8 or more anglers. The final balance is auto-collected 60 days before the first day of the scheduled trip. There are no refunds for large group cancellations within 60 days of the scheduled trip.

Cancellation Policy (Standard and Advanced Reservations)

  • Cancellation requests will be accepted via e-mail. The e-mail should include the guests’ name, reserved date(s), and the confirmation number.
  • There is a cancellation fee equal to 5% of the reservation total on all cancellations, including cancellations made by the guide or outfitter because of safety concerns.
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of a scheduled trip will be assessed a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the trip total, payment in full is assessed for no-shows (more than 1 hour late with no communication) or cancellations made within 48 hours.
  • Vacation and lodging package policies vary based on the accommodation and, in some cases, the season. Please review our rates and terms for a comprehensive summary of cancellation policies.
  • Any modification that results in a date change or reduction in the number of guides on a reservation is treated as a cancellation.

Our cancellation policy applies to all cancellation reasons, including unforeseen circumstances, health issues, travel delays, bad weather, and global events.

Montana weather and water conditions can vary; we do not cancel or reschedule trips due to inclement weather such as rain, wind, or snow.

  • Watch the weather and bring clothing that will keep you warm and dry when challenging conditions are in the forecast.
  • Hot weather can affect fish activity, so we start our days very early in such conditions.
  • If fishing in the rain or starting around 6 am during the summer heat is not for you, we recommend booking with us on short notice once there is a clear weather picture for your preferred date. Expect limited availability for a short-notice booking between June 15 and September 15.

Travel insurance is a great tool that we use regularly when traveling ourselves.

Full refunds will be issued if the guide or outfitter cancels a reservation due to weather or health issues that create unsafe conditions.

We reserve the right to issue deposit refunds on a case-by-case basis.

Off-Season Trip Deposit and Cancellation (trips that take place between November 1 and March 31)

  • A deposit of $100 is required to secure the reservation at the time of booking; the full balance is collected on the day of the trip.
  • Deposits are fully refundable when cancellation is made with more than 3 days advance notice, made via e-mail.
  • Expect inclement weather when booking these trips that are best suited to experienced anglers.

Please review our detailed rates and terms for a comprehensive review of our deposit and cancellation policies
