Bozeman Information

Bozeman is a small, college town situated in the Gallatin Valley of southwest Montana. Several mountain ranges, including the Bridgers, Madison, Gallatin, and Tobacco Root ranges provide for a breathtaking backdrop. With all the convenience of a major city in a small-town setting, Bozeman is the perfect place for any vacation - especially a fly fishing one!

Getting here is easy! We are serviced by several major airlines, including Delta, United, and Horizon among others. The airport, Gallatin Field (BZN), is located about 6 miles from our shop just west of town. In general, the airport is small but efficient and a variety of rental car agencies are located within the terminal.

Bozeman is serviced by all the major hotel chains, but we highly recommend the locally owned and operated Holiday Inn Express. Conveniently located at the N 19th Ave exit off I-90, this local's favorite offers great service and amenities. Montana State University is located in Bozeman, home to about 10,000 undergraduate students and the Fighting Bobcats. MSU is nationally recognized for excellence in applied sciences in addition to being located in a great place to attend college! Our historic downtown is home to a thriving business community including art galleries, restaurants, coffee shops, and boutique retailers. Despite the influx of several big-box stores, our downtown continues to be the hub of our community activities such as the Sweet Pea Festival, holiday parades, and various community celebrations throughout the year.

We pride ourselves on being actively involved in our community and will be happy to assist you with any questions that arise while planning a trip. Whether it's a place to stay or activities for the non-angler in the group, chances are that someone on our staff can make a personal recommendation to help get you started.
