Guide Trip FAQs

We recommend that you touch base at 406-468-5019 or email us one week prior to your scheduled trip departure. This time is used to coordinate the meeting time and place of your first guided day with Fins & Feathers of Bozeman. Also, this is the perfect time to make any special requests regarding diet, type of fishing, length of the day, and any need for rental equipment (use is complimentary). Our guides provide just about everything you need in terms of fishing for the day, but we always encourage our guests to use their own if they prefer. Please let us know in advance if you will be using our rental equipment like waders, boots, rod, or reel.

Flies are included in the price of all guide trips. Non-alcoholic beverages are provided on all guided trips. A full deli lunch is provided on full-day trips.

Questions Along the Way? No question is too trivial if it will improve your visit. You can give us a call anytime at 406-468-5019; leave a message after hours and we'll get back to you first thing in the morning. Also, check out the rest of our site for up to date information on fishing reports, upcoming events, and general information about the area.

Social media is a great way to stay up to keep up with the fishing in the area and special events at Fins & Feathers of Bozeman. We are on Facebook, and post to our Blog several times a week.

We require a 50% deposit in order to secure all reservations when the scheduled date is 14 or more days from the booking date. We require payment in full at the time of booking when the reservation date is within 14 days of the date when the reservation is made. This deposit is fully refundable with at least 30 days advance cancellation. We are happy to reschedule for the same number of days and guides, on another trip in 2017, if there is a need to cancel the existing reservation between 30 and 14 days in advance. No refunds or credits are available when cancellations are made within 14 days of the original reservation. Read our full deposit policy on-line.

Our guides are among the best in the area and work as hard as any guide anywhere. They rely on gratuities to supplement their income and help defray operating costs like fuel, lunches, and shuttles. If you feel like your guide did a great job and worked hard, please consider rewarding their efforts upon completion of your trip. Gratuities are at your discretion and anything is always appreciated, the general recommendation is $100-150 per day/per guide for a job well done.
