If you're interested in guided Missouri River fishing trips, our Bozeman Montana guide service can help. We have over 20 years of experience guiding Missouri River anglers in various water conditions throughout the year. Our guide staff recommends late April through early June as the best time of the year to fish the Missouri River near Craig, Montana.
Join us in 2024 for some terrific, early-season Missouri River fly fishing on the stretches of the river between Holter Dam and Cascade, Montana. The fishing conditions vary, but typically involve nymph fishing along current seams and below drop-offs from the driftboat. On cloudy days, you can expect blanket hatches of BWO and March Browns with Caddis usually showing up in mid-late May. Streamer fishing is dependent on water levels and temperature, with lower flows and warmer conditions being ideal. We always have a great time during our spring guided trips and look forward to having you join us in 2024.
While we can arrange lodging, you are also welcome to make your own arrangements. If you need breakfast, there are a few places in Craig that offer it. Lunch is included on our Missouri River guide trips. For dinner, you can choose from several options in Cascade, the Oasis in Wolf Creek, or Izaaks in Craig.
Please note that availability is limited, so it's best to make your reservation as soon as possible. The guided fly-fishing rates for the Missouri River spring trips are $695 per boat for 1-2 anglers.
