Heavy rains the last few days has made for some dirty water below Big Sky the last couple of days - we are hearing that the river is in better shape up above Big Sky. Expect there to be "plugs" of dirty water around for a few days. Generally speaking, once you get upstream of the Taylor Fork and into Yellowstone National Park - south of Big Sky - the water conditions are typically fine after heavy rains. Nymphing and dry fly fishing has been good on the river up until the off-color events as of late - it should clear quickly and fish very well for a few days as flows decrease and color improves
