Current Conditions

The river has come into shape nicely over the last 10 days with Salmonflies and Golden Stones hatching throughout the river. You might not see as many bugs as you would expect, this is because the bugs don't fly around as much when its cool - but they are still there. Nymphing with rubber legs and Yellow Sally nymphs throughout the canyon has been consistent the last week, with dry fly takes here and there being found throughout the day. Watch the water conditions as heavy rains can cause the river to go off color pretty quickly this time of the year, but those plugs usually move through pretty quickly.
